Alex Courand wins Masonic speech contest

Mark Twain Middle School eighth-grade student Alex Couraud won first-place in the Masonic Speech Contest, Riley Johnston of Pratum took second-place and Josh Anderson of Scotts Mills earned third-place. Eighth-grade students – one student from each outlying school and three students from Mark Twain – gave a speech on how does being a volunteer benefit the student and their community. The judges were Matt Ogle, Jennifer Hannan and Melissa-Garriga-Boyd.
