Lunaria Gallery artists Emily Start and Teresa Burgett have combined their talents to present “One Really Twisted Show” that is sure to give gallery-goers a smile.
Burgett’s work explores a wide range of media from woodworking to painting to jewelry. She uses bold colors in her lively and whimsical paintings of everyday life and animals.
A jewelry artist, Start twists and hammers sterling silver into art. She weaves stones and shells into many of her pieces, turning each one into an original sculpture to adorn the body. Rings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, pins and earrings are all fashioned with her original approach to forging and wrapping silver wire.
Burgett and Start invite community members to view their work at the First Friday gala from 7 to 9 p.m. April 3 at Lunaria Gallery, 113 N. Water St. The show continues through April and the gallery is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
