Verlan Lee Sorter died July 11, 2023 at the age of 94 in Florence, Oregon. Born Sept. 30, 1928 in Humble, Texas to Effrige Lee Sorter and Rachel Chastain Adair, Lee proudly served in the U.S. Army.
