The 2008 Mayor’s Ball is expected to have raised more than $50,000. Hosted by Mayor Ken Hector and his wife, Darby, the event has raised more than $300,000 through its 16-year history. The Mayor’s Ball, also known as Ken’s Soiree, is coming back for the 16th time on Oct. 18 and everyone has a personal invitation from the mayor himself.
