JFK team gets conference awards

Recipients of the 2009 Tri-River Conference football honors are: First Team: Derek Barth, defensive and running back; Nick Theimer, offensive line and linebacker; Justin Humphreys, offensive line; Dylan Barth, defensive line; Nikitta Sharabarin, punter.  Second Team: Derek Traeger, quarterback and defensive back; Justin Humphreys, defensive line. Honorable Mention:  Jeff Ellingson, (RB); Franky Rodriguez (WR); Alex Morrissey (TE); Ramon Arellano (OL); Johnny Garcia (OL); Jake Sawyer (DL); Austin Rodriguez (DB); Nikltta Sharabarin (K).

Derek Barth was also named “Back of the Year” (along with Coulter Mastenbroek of Scio High School).
Team awards presented at Kennedy High, Dec. 15: Rookie of the Year, Jonathan Theimer; Coaches Award, Alan Venegas; Outstanding Defensive Back, Nick Theimer; Outstanding Offensive Back, Derek Traeger; Outstanding Defensive Lineman, Dylan Barth; Outstanding Offensive Lineman, Ramon Arellano; Most Improved Player, Michael Bielenberg; Most Inspirational Player, Hunter Hill; Most Valuable Player, Derek Barth.
