Coaching changes announced at Silverton High

Mark Jorgenson has been hired as the new Silverton High School boys soccer coach.

Fred George has transferred from head boys soccer coach to head girls soccer coach and Lena Baldwin will be the assistant coach, announced Greg Kaatz, assistant vice principal and athletic director for Silverton High School.

“The girls could be very competitive this year,” he said.

The new head wrestling coach is Abel Valdez, a previous assistant.

Volleyball has two new assistants – JV Coach Stacie Fisher and Freshman Coach Justine Mosher.

“The volleyball team will be very Kaatz also mentioned that the new facilities at Pine Street are unbelievable, and is thankful for the citizen and community’s support.

“We never imagined it could look like this. People seeing the gyms and the fields for the first time are going to be very impressed.”
