Something for the Soul: Listen to soul’s knowledge

Winnie BoltonBy Winnie Bolton

We must be careful how we speak about our souls, for it is a private, intimate and subtle presence within us.

Everyone has their own secret language for their inner world which we at times attempt to awaken.

Pressure on psychiatry attempts to help with this secret world. Trust and receptivity are needed to open our sacred selves because we can get lost without the truth of what only the soul knows.

The terrible sadness of our times is the “human” presence – people not being in themselves but elsewhere when they’re speaking – like human shells with mouths moving, saying nothing.

Because our present culture is on overload, so much happening rapidly going nowhere, we get this sense of vacancy.

Growth in spiritual life needs stillness and silence – only then can the soul awaken.

For instance when the farmer plants his seeds, the seeds need to be nourished, sheltered, and protected in order to flourish.

Likewise, we need to shelter and protect our own good souls where the seeds lie so that the trees can grow around us.

Then, at bleak and naked times, there is the shelter you desperately need and can’t get from anywhere else but deep within the soul.

People block their own blessings because they are too busy.

We stand in our own way by neglecting to do our own inner work.

Once you awaken your consciousness, you no longer are sleeping and vacant throughout your life.

Everything that we need for life’s journey is within us.

Spiritual space is in the heart, accepting whatever comes your way.

Let the journey come to you in stillness and quiet. We have forgotten in this “must do, must see, must know” world of ours how to be still, but the old soul of ours knows exactly the direction and rhythm we should take.

People lose their power when they believe the power is outside of them.

Growth and change are constantly going on, but the invincible soul lives on forever.

It was God who created our soul in the first place and has our best interest at heart.
