Oregon and Silverton through every season. Marion Berries and hugs for no reason.

Indian summers, the first day of spring. These are a few of my favorite things.

I like my dark beer she’s called Oatmeal Ellie and my dog Snickers who sometimes is smelly,

Fun stuff at Whimsy and my wedding ring. These are a few of my favorite things.

Politics only when people are civil. Fringe people cause me to tune out their drivel.

Towns without recalls. White Christmas by Bing. These are a few of my favorite things.

When the banks tanked, hearing Michelle Bachmann talk, when I’m feeling sad. I simply eat Turtles at the Chocolate Box, and then I don’t feel so bad.

B and B inns when they’re named Edward Adams. Burgers at Mac’s on the deck, let me at ’em.

Babies who smile at me through teething rings. These are a few of my favorite things.

Shopping for presents at my Pomegranate. Telling someone flipping birds please to can it.

Great Walnut Shrimp there at Chan’s makes me sing. These are a few of my favorite things.

When the ads come, next election, and go negative. I simply remember to vote the bums out and to their opponents, give.

Pinot at Howard’s and helping the needy. Rehabbing neighborhoods formerly seedy.

First-time home buyers, the joy giving brings. These are a few of my favorite things.

“O Holy Night” by Luciano Pavarotti, service from people that’s nice and not snotty. Israel and Allison’s shiny new bling. These are a few of my favorite things.

Morning coffee, bowtie Darin, having friends like “Bo”- who always remind me I’m getting too large when I cannot see my toes.

Lunching at Creekside and soup Gorganzola, learning more Spanish beyond saying Hola.

Cell phones at meal time refusing to ring.

These are a few of my favorite things.

Fishing at Diamond Lake with Billy and Trevor. Lunch with Briana who’s gorgeous and clever. Puzzles with Lisa, the beach in the Spring, these are a few of my favorite things.

Lose the sports page, midnight phone calls, make my last nerve snap. I simply remember my favorite things, like taking a real, long nap.

Fresh Margarita’s up there at Ixtapa, future grandbabies that all call me “Papa.”  Our local businesses hearing “Ca-Ching.”  These are a few of my favorite things.

Skipping the bogeys and going for birdies, writers who bore you because they’re too wordy. Hanukkah, Kwanza, and Christmas bells ring, this time of year is my favorite thing.

Sleep through Black Friday that kicks off the season. Dollars to SACA benevolent reasons.

Mangers and Wise Men, the birth of the King. These are a few of my favorite things.
