The case of former City Administrator Jim Hunt versus the City of Mt. Angel was resolved in the city’s favor Oct. 6. Judge Paul L. Lipscomb made his decision on a core issue – the interpretation of the termination provisions of Hunt’s employment contract.
Mt. Angel Mayor Rick Schiedler paid a civil penalty of $200 to settle and conclude an ethics complaint filed against him with the Oregon Government Ethics Commission.
The Oregon Government Ethics Board of Commissioners voted March 13 to investigate whether Rick Schiedler may have violated ethics law while he served as a Mt. Angel city councilor between Feb. 5, 2007 and Jan. 1, 2009.
