Webb helps Eugene Field students create mural

Third graders at Eugene Field Elementary learn muralist techniques from Lori Webb. Lori Webb, a local artist and muralist, made sure every student at Eugene Field Elementary School contributed to creating a five-panel mural for the school’s gym. Webb said the mural begins with a girl tumbling in a field of sunflowers, followed by a boy and girl sitting on a bench with the boy reading a book and the girl holding an umbrella, two boys playing basketball, two girls – one holding a wishing weed and the other a four-leaf clover – with children in the background playing soccer and the last a girl jumping rope with a rainbow in the background.

“This is a big group effort by all the students who are each doing a little part to be a part of the big picture,” Webb said. The project was funded by the Eugene Field PTA.
