Brown competes for speech honors

Beth Brown, an accountant with the Silverton Hospital, won first place in the Silvertongues Toastmasters Speech Contest.  She also placed first in the Club Evaluation Contest. 

Brown went on to the Area Speech and Evaluation Contest at the University of Phoenix in Salem on April 8.  She competed against contestants from five clubs in the Salem area. These contests are a prelude to the International Speech Contest sponsored annually by Toastmasters International.
