Fall fun: Wishes, wine and other ways to enjoy the season

Silverton Wish List
Believing wishes are easier to grant when they are made known, the Silverton Area Chamber of Commerce and local businesses are hosting the first “Wish List.”

Chamber executive director Stacy Palmer said the event begins on November’s First Friday – Nov. 7- and continues through the holiday season. Each participating store or business will have a sign in its window. This event replaces the Shop Hop.

Customers are invited to visit the businesses and fill out their “wish list” for holiday gifts.
“The event is a way to encourage people to shop locally and show their support for local businesses,” Palmer said.

Each business will have its own events. Once the wish lists are complete, it’s time for shopping to begin, Palmer said, adding each business will notify the customer’s loved ones what they are wishing for.

For information on Wish List, contact the chamber at 503-873-5615.
