Benefit concert: Mario Diaz performs at Queen of Angels

Guitarist Mario Diaz will perform in the Queen of Angels Monastery ChapelGuitarist Mario Diaz will perform a benefit concert for Shalom Prayer Center Friday, July 22, 7 p.m. in the Benedictine Sisters’ Queen of Angels Monastery Chapel.

An award-winning guitarist, Diaz has made a name for himself as a rising talent in the Northwest. He has performed in venues in the Portland area, including a six-year stint at El Gaucho. This will be one of his last appearances locally, as he will be starting in the Masters’ program at the San Francisco Conservatory in August.

Tickets are available in advance for $10 and at the door for $15. A hosted reception in Agatha Hall will follow the concert.

Proceeds from the concert will be used to help purchase an outdoor labyrinth. Tickets may be purchased at Shalom, 840 S. Main St., Mt. Angel, or by calling or emailing Christine Zollner, 503-845-6773, or [email protected].
