Men’s choir from Germany entertains at concert, dinner in Mount Angel

German music and sausage are Mount Angel staples many times throughout the year, and on Aug. 11 a 50-member men’s choir brings its music to town.

No-host bar is available when doors
open at 6 p.m. Dinner served until
concert, 7:30 p.m.

Hahnheim Mannersgesangverien from Germany will be hosted by the Mount Angel Oktoberfest board and Festival Choral Oregon.

The award-winning men’s choir and a mixed men and women’s choir will sing German folk music and hymns of praise.

Coming from the wine country of the Rheinland-Pfalz they are sure to include some happy wine songs in the repertoire. The choir performs under the direction of Klaus Boxheimer.

Tickets are $15 per person. To order make out a check to FCO and mail it to Connie Lauzon, PO Box 437, Mount Angel, OR 97362. Tickets will be sent by return mail.
